BUSINESS PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT

Private sector drivers for business performance improvement are profitability and shareholder value. Public sector drivers are government targets for efficiency and service delivery in a cost effective and timely manner. MMDC’s approach is to help clients to improve business processes, develop human resources and to manage change; listed below are some tools we use in helping our clients to deliver a better service to their clients:

Business process re-engineering (BPR)

Is the analysis and re-design of processes within organizations. BPR involves the total re-thinking of one or more of a company’s key processes. Process maps are tools that we use in BPR, and these illustrate how an organization completes a variety of activities to meet its customer requirements. The process model can be designed at the departmental level showing the systems, documents, roles (personnel) and interdependencies between departments that are involved in completing a particular task or it can be designed at the enterprise-wide level.

An efficiency review

Is an examination of how an organisation goes about in its business. It evaluates the resources, systems and procedures that are in place to manage activities such as corporate planning, procurement, or recruitment. It could cover just one function of the organization e.g. facilities management or it could cover the organization as a whole. The latter constitutes a “health check” alerting the organization to any weaknesses which merit further attention.

Process reviews

In process reviews, we map the current business processes looking at their costs and performance. We compare them with leading best practices and identify how they might be improved. The direct benefits include a reduction in time, improved accuracy, decreases in costs, and job fulfilment.

BUSINESS FINANCIAL SERVICES CONSULTING

One of the critical success factors of running a business is knowing how much the value of a business is, how much the business makes or losses, and how far it is growing. Most businesses fail because they cannot recruit and pay a full-time accounting practitioner to help in all this. That is where MMDC comes in with its virtual financial officers to provide;

BID (TENDER) PROCESS MANAGEMENT

In preparing a tender invite, specification is of significance in the tender documentation both for the organisation procuring goods and the supplying entity. Bid specification is of importance as it explains the features of the thing being procured; sets the functional specifications which are concerned with functions the goods are expected to serve, also sets the technical specification and standards that the product/ service procured has to meet for quality sake.

Evaluation of a tender entails examining all components of the bid, its compliance, and its completion, identifying best value for money bid, necessary skills captured in the bidding team, methods for comparison fair and just, we also support with adjudication of bids.

We help businesses get their bids early to the inviters. Tenders are advertised in few places and for a very limited time, a month or less. Working on a tender response is different from compiling a job application pack; it is a process one which in mind involves winning.

PROJECT PROPOSALS, PROJECT PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT OUTSOURCING

By combining knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to meet project activities and requirements, MMDC supports organizations from writing bankable project proposals to solicit new business or grants, once the project has been granted we become hands-on in planning, executing, monitoring and controlling the delivery of the project to its intended beneficiaries.
